May is almost over but the RTA’s keep falling from the sky. The funny thing is they are all really amazing tanks. Each one has a special feature that makes it stand out from the rest.

All of these were picked for their quality, newness, innovativeness and overall customer satisfaction. Even if there are only a few reviews because they are new.

Fodi F2

hcigar_fodi_f2_rta_img_1

The Fodi F2 by HCIGAR is another RDTA or Genesis style tank design. The airflow of the Fodi F2 is primarily focused on flavor chasing vs massive clouds. The airflow is more restrictive than on other tanks and is geared more for a mouth to lung type of hits VS Sucking in and blowing out MASSIVE CLOUDS.

The 510 pin is gold plated but one thing that some may have an issue with is the 510 pin is not adjustable. The posts on the Fodi F2 are also gold plated to help with conductivity. These posts use a clamping function Vs the typical grab screws. (Fig:2) You just twist the posts to tighten the wire into place. This should make building and installing your coils that much easier. You don’t have to fiddle with a screwdriver while you are holding you leads, just twist to clamp. Unlike the Fodi V2 the F2 is a single coil RTA. This is because they are going for a more flavor experience vs pure face melting performance. This isn’t a big deal if that is your cup of tea. Some other this will be a deal breaker.

The tank of the Fodi F2 is under the deck in an RDTA or genesis style configuration. This style is getting more and more popular these days and looks like the OG design is back once again. The 4mm wicking ports are located on either side of the build deck. To fill the Fodi F2 you pull out a tiny little rubber plug that sits on the deck of the RTA. This is a very tiny little plug so try not to loose it. Although you do get a few extra plugs with the tank in the spare bag O’ goodies.

HCigar Fodi V2 Dual Terminal RDTA

HCigar Fodi V2 Dual Terminal RDTA

The Fodi V2 by Hcigar is the updated version of the popular Fodi RDTA. One of the biggest updates to the Fodi is the work the did to the posts and the deck. First off the posts have grown a bit and now feature dual 2mm terminals per post giving you 4 to work with vs the 2 on the original Fodi. Also, the grub screws have been moved to the outside give you last a side tension feature. (Fig:1)

The airflow on the V2 is also new. The air enters the chamber via two 6mm X 2mm cyclops holes on the both sides of the deck. Like the original you can still block off half of the deck for use with single coil configurations to get the best airflow possible.

Another improvement made on the V2 is the use of a new top cap design with an anti-spit back guard that has been added to help the user from getting juice in his or her mouth.

To fill the 2.5ml tank you add juice via a filling port located on the deck. You just pull out the tiny little rubber plug and start to fill. Also like the F2 you get a ceramic insulated gold plated non-adjustable 510 pin.

  • 316 Stainless Steel Construction
  • Tank Capacity: 2.5ml

UD EZ Screwless Two Post RTA

UD EZ Screwless Two Post RTA

The UD EZ Screwless Two Post RTA is the newest innovative design from UD. Without a doubt, the biggest feature on the EZ. One of the biggest features of the EZ and how it got the name “EZ” is the way you connect the leads to the posts. You don’t have grub screws to secure the coil like you would on traditional atties. The posts use these spring loaded tabs that you lift to open and lower to clamp the coils into place. (Fig:2) The terminals are a massive 3mm in diameter so you have plenty of room to fit your leads.

To fill the 4ml tank you simply unscrew the top cap and fill the tank via any of the cyclops filling ports located under the cap. (Fig:3) On the deck you have 4 wicking ports to help keep the cotton nice and wicked.

The airflow on the EZ is fed 5.5mm X 2.5mm cyclops air slots located on the deck under the coils. The drip tip has rifling on the inner walls to help the airflow move in a vortex-like fashion. This helps to produce a nice consistent even and full flavor.

Limitless RDTA by iJoy

Limitless RDTA by iJoy

The Limitless RDTA by IJOY is another RDTA or Genesis style tank. This time, the Limitless RDTA is iJoy’s hat in the ring. I have to admit I was expecting something a little less impressive and less quality. This thing is pretty nice.

The tank section actually holds 5mls of juice, even though the sites and manufacturer say 4 you can actually fit 5 in the tank. Not sure why they are dumbing down the specs. You can fill the limitless tank with the side filling posts that measure 10mm X 3.5mm and honestly they look like your typical cyclops air inlets. So don’t feel weird about putting juice in the things that look like air inlets. Being a genesis style tank your air is at the top of the deck.

The airflow on the limitless is controlled via the drip tip/ top cap hybrid. You spin the drip tip and the entire top section spins, covering and revealing the dual cyclops air inlets on both sides of the top cap. These massive air inlets measure 15mm X 1.5mm making sure your coils get all the cloud producing air you need.

The build deck features dual velocity posts that each have dual 2mm post holes for hitting your leads through. The leads are then held in place via the side tension grub screws. Finally, you have a gold plated adjustable 510 pin that will allow you to use the limitless RDTA on hybrid mods.

Limitless Specifications

  • 24mm Diameter
  • Pyrex Tank Section
  • Tank Capacity: 4ml
  • Side Fill Design (10mm X 3.5mm Port)
  • Dual Velocity Post Design
    • 2mm Terminals
  • 19mm Build Deck
  • Quad Wicking Ports
  • Dual Adjustable Airflow Holes (15mm X 1.5mm Airflow Slots)
  • Direct Airflow To Coil

Svoe Mesto Kayfun V5

Kayfun V5 by Svoe Mesto

The Kayfun V5 should probably be called the Kayfun V3 2.0 because it is not based on the V4 in any way. The V5 is, in fact, is the bigger brother to the popular Kayfun Mini V3. Everything about it looks and acts just like a bigger V3 Mini.

The airflow is 3.2mm up from 2.2mm and is adjusted by pulling up on the base and rotating then pushing it back down into place. Almost reminds be of some kinda craftsman tool the way it pops up and locks back down in place. You have 4 settings on the airflow. The Four options are 1.8mm, 2.2mm, 2.7mm, and 3.2mm. You still have the single airflow hole directly in the center of the deck, underneath the coil.

The build deck has been upgraded with these little fins that help hold the leads in place. (Fig:2) Also, the juice flow control has been carried over from the V3. The terminals sport the M2 build screws to help with stripping and the build deck is now bigger to help with building.

The tank now holds up to 5mls of juice with the added SS sleeve. And you fill the tank via a top fill design. I will never miss the old school bottom fill screws of the V1 days. “Leaking for Days”.

Kayfun V5 Specifications

  • Dimensions: 22mm X 60mm
  • 316L Stainless Steel Construction
  • Top-Fill Design
  • Tank Capacity: 4ml
  • Juice Flow Control
  • M2 Build Screws
  • Increased Max Liquid Flow
  • Adjustable Airflow
  • Added Lead Fins on Posts
  • PEEK Insulator

Ohmega Calypso RTA 30mm

Ohmega Calypso RTA 30mm

The Omega Calypso 30mm RTA is a monster of a tank. The Calypso is a giant of a tank. Coming in at 30mm this thing will hang off the side of a few of your mods. Like half of the tanks in this article, the Calypso is a Genesis style RDTA tank with the deck positioned above the juice. This gives you the option to use the tank as a dripper if you wish because the build deck is directly under the drip tip like in an RDA (Rebuildable Dripping Atomizer).

The deck features 4 terminals on 2 horizontal posts. Or you could call it 4 posts. Just all depends on how you look at it, The grub screws are made out of hardened steel to prevent stripping and the 4 terminals have 2.8mm lead holes. You can set up the deck for single or dual coil setups with the help of the PMMA plug that comes in the kit.

For airflow, you have three 7mm diagonal slits that are positioned on both sides of the barrel. You can cover and reveal these to adjust the airflow by rotating the top of the atty.

The tank of the Calypso will hold up to around 3-4mls (It doesn’t say ANYWHERE. If you know please comment below). You fill this via the two filling ports on the surface of the deck next to the quad 6.5mm wicking ports. (Fig:2) These huge wicking ports are designed to help with one thing. To keep your cotton wet.

Calypso Specifications

  • 30mm Diameter
  • Stainless Steel Construction
  • Single Or Dual Coil Capable
  • 2.8mm Lead Holes
  • Quad Post Deck Design
  • Copper Adjustable 510 Connection
  • Glass & SS Tank Section

Sense Herakles V2 25mm RTA

Sense Herakles V2 25mm RTA

The all new Sense Heracles V2 25mm RTA is the latest update to the loved Heracles RTA. The V1 was amazing it was cloudtastic but it may have had a little too much air if that is possible. The V2, however, tones down on the airflow just a pinch and a new beast is born.

Featuring Dual internal airflow vs the quad airflow design of the V1 (Fig:3) the V2’s airflow feels right this time. The dual cyclops air inlets are bigger at 8.5mm X 3mm each so you still get massive amounts. Just not Excessive amounts. The external airflow is fed via Quad Adjustable Exterior Airflow slot and measure 7mm X 2mm Each.

With the new airflow design, you no longer have 4 wicking ports but two massive wicking areas. This has ended up helping in two ways easier wicking setup and better more efficient wicking. The tank can hold a massive 6mls of juice that you fill by simply removing the top section and filling via one of the two huge bean shaped fill ports.

These new additions to the Heracles are awesome but they didn’t have to change everything. They kept many of the features we love. The 510 connection on the V2 is still copper to give you amazing conductivity. The Wide bore drip tip is still 10mm with “Straight Channel Airflow for Maximum Speed”. The tank is still 6mls and the hex keys for the posts are the same.

Sense Herakles V2 Specifications

  • 25mm Diameter
  • Tank Capacity: 6mls
  • Top Fill System
  • Adjustable Wicking Holes
  • Dual Velocity Posts
  • Hex Keyed Terminals
  • Dual Terminals Per Post
    • (2.5mm Each)

smok-tf-rdta-img-1

The SMOK TF-RDTA is a 24.5mm Diameter RTDA. One of the more notable design featured about the TF-RTDA is the wicking system. On the TF you get 4 Cyclops wicking ports that are on the face of the deck. They measure 4mm X 3mm in size and these are what get covered when you spin the juice control. The tank holds 5mls of juice and you fill with the easy hinged door design. Just swivel the top part and fill the tank.(Fig:1)

Another really unique feature about posts and build deck is the fact that it is inside of the deck. They did this to save room for a bigger thank, as the posts are now much lower in the body of the deck than before. (Seen in main image)

The deck also features dual velocity style posts that each have 3mm X 2mm Post holes. Under the coils you also have 4 airflow ports that are fed by the Quad 7.5mm X 2.5mm cyclops airflow Slots around the base of the TF-RDTA

The drip tip features a double layered design, the glass center ring is supposed to help with heat. This trend is something that is becoming more popular in the drip tip scene.

You have a massive 10.5mm X 5.5mm pit between the dual velocity style posts. This huge hole is designed to help with internal airflow and help keep everything nice and cool plus works with the three 10mm by 2.5mm adjustable cyclops air inlets located around the base of the tank.
